The TROPOMI Level 2 products contain data of geophysical quantities on the satellite measurement grid. Most of the TROPOMI Level 2 products contain information on atmospheric trace gases, however there are also products related to clouds and aerosols. The data products that are generated within the Copernicus ground system are listed in the table below. The ground system generates three different data streams: the near-real-time (NRT) stream, the offline stream and the reprocessing stream.
NRT data are available within 3 hours after the data acquisition and intended for users that need quick access to the data. NRT data may be incomplete and may not have the full data quality. Other users should therefore use the offline data, which is available within a few days after data acquisition, or the latest reprocessed data.
The data products contain information on the data quality for each TROPOMI ground pixel. It is essential that users of TROPOMI data understand and apply the data quality indicators available in the data files. Information on the meaning of these quality fields is provided in the Product User Manual (PUM). Further information on the retrieval algorithms can be found in the Algorithm Theoretical Basis Document (ATBD).
The TROPOMI team strongly encourages users to contact us with any questions on the data. Feedback from users is of great benefit for improving the quality of the next data version.
